Lo chef stellato Michelin Jan Van de Voorde prende il timone del Dusit Thani Maldives

recentemente nominato Executive Chef ed esperto di F&B, si dedica ad ampliare la gamma di piatti offerti nel resort di lusso.

Dusit Thani Maldive ha annunciato la nomina di Jan Van de Voorde come nuovo Executive Chef.

“We are delighted to welcome Jan Van de Voorde to the Dusit Thani Maldives team,” said Mr.  Jean-Louis, General Manager of Dusit Thani Maldives. “With his extensive experience and  passion for the industry, he is the ideal candidate to lead our food and beverage department’s  efforts as we strive to provide the utmost experience to our guests.”

Portando con sé un patrimonio di esperienza e creatività derivante dal suo background in ristoranti stellati Michelin in Belgio e nei Paesi Bassi, lo chef Jan guiderà i dipartimenti di cucina e cibo e bevande nel suo nuovo ruolo.

“I am thrilled to be joining the team at Dusit Thani Maldives and to enhance the culinary  experience at this stunning resort,” Chef Jan remarked. “I am passionate about using local  ingredients and crafting innovative dishes that highlight the flavours of the Maldives.”

Lo chef Jan ha costruito una carriera incentrata sulla soddisfazione eccezionale degli ospiti, un'abile risoluzione dei problemi, un controllo efficace dei costi alimentari e una meticolosa gestione dell'igiene HACCP. La sua esperienza si estende alla cucina Nikkei e comprende forti capacità gestionali, tra cui la leadership del team, il processo decisionale e il budget.

Prima di unirsi a Dusit Thani Maldives, lo chef Jan ha ricoperto incarichi di chef esecutivo presso Centara Grand Beach Resort Krabi, Dhigali Maldives Resort e Holiday Inn Resort Pattaya. In questi ruoli, ha ottenuto un notevole successo nel ridurre i costi dei prodotti alimentari, nel migliorare i punteggi di soddisfazione degli ospiti e nell'introdurre nuovi concetti culinari.

Chef Jan is a graduate of Ter Groene Poorte hotel school in Bruges, Belgium, where he  obtained his Bachelor’s in Hotel Management in 1992. He is fluent in Dutch, French, and  English, with basic proficiency in German and Thai.
