Met een Michelin-ster bekroonde chef-kok Jan Van de Voorde neemt het roer over bij Dusit Thani Maldives

De onlangs benoemde chef-kok en F&B-expert is toegewijd aan het uitbreiden van het aanbod aan gerechten dat in het luxe resort wordt aangeboden.

Dusit Thani Malediven heeft de benoeming aangekondigd van Jan Van de Voorde als nieuwe Executive Chef.

“We are delighted to welcome Jan Van de Voorde to the Dusit Thani Maldives team,” said Mr.  Jean-Louis, General Manager of Dusit Thani Maldives. “With his extensive experience and  passion for the industry, he is the ideal candidate to lead our food and beverage department’s  efforts as we strive to provide the utmost experience to our guests.”

Chef Jan brengt een schat aan expertise en creativiteit mee vanuit zijn achtergrond in restaurants met Michelinsterren in België en Nederland en zal in zijn nieuwe rol leiding geven aan de afdelingen Culinair en Eten en Drinken.

Chef-kok Jan heeft een carrière opgebouwd die gericht is op het leveren van uitzonderlijke gasttevredenheid, bekwame probleemoplossing, effectieve controle van de voedselkosten en nauwgezet HACCP-hygiënebeheer. Zijn expertise strekt zich uit tot de Nikkei-keuken en omvat sterke managementvaardigheden, waaronder teamleiderschap, besluitvorming en budgettering.

Voordat hij bij Dusit Thani Maldives kwam, bekleedde chef-kok Jan functies als chef-kok bij Centara Grand Beach Resort Krabi, Dhigali Maldives Resort en Holiday Inn Resort Pattaya. In deze rollen behaalde hij aanzienlijk succes bij het verlagen van de voedselkosten, het verbeteren van de gasttevredenheidsscores en het introduceren van nieuwe culinaire concepten.

Chef Jan is a graduate of Ter Groene Poorte hotel school in Bruges, Belgium, where he  obtained his Bachelor’s in Hotel Management in 1992. He is fluent in Dutch, French, and  English, with basic proficiency in German and Thai.
